Description:UniCarriers Americas Corporation (UCA), a manufacturer of Nissan Forklift, TCM Forklift and Barrett Forklifts (electric and engine powered forklifts, electric pallet trucks, tow tractors, walkie stackers, and manual pallet trucks), has an opening for a Technical Support Specialist to provide hardware and software technical support to IS users by providing support to network infrastructure, voice and data administration.

Duties:PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Installs hardware, software and related components for desktop, laptop, network, midrange computers and telephone systems including voice mail and paging.
2. Interfaces with vendors in the support of hardware, software, Internet, telecommunications and wireless services
3. Coordinates with users timely and accurate installation of hardware and software
4. Performs diagnostic services for resolution of hardware and software problems
5. Coordinates with vendor in problem resolutions to minimize downtime
6. Staffs Help Desk and acts to continually improve service level by coordinating resolutions to caller concerns in a timely and effective manner
7. Maintains IS documentation of IS procedures and other information useful to the smooth and efficient operation of IS
8. Provides assistance to direct users and assists with daily systems support
9. Scheduled work hours may vary and requires after-hours
10. Responsible for accurate inventory of hardware and software
11. Always act in a professional and courteous manner, representing UCA�s highest standards of business conduct; exhibits a positive attitude, sharing information with co-workers as appropriate and works to promote a cooperative, productive teamwork environment.
Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Associates Degree in Information Systems or
- Minimum of two years troubleshooting hardware/software technical products
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills, problem solving abilities and excellent administrative and record-keeping skills
- Experience with Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010, Lotus Notes and other software packages
- A+ Certification and Microsoft Certification is preferred
